Drive Array -Array Conbtroller Battery Charge Low

Hi,

I have a really annoying problem with our HP ProLiant ML570 G2, in fact I have three?

The first one which is really worrying is happening on four of these types of Server.

New replacement batteries were fitted, but this hasn't fixed the problem.

The Errors:

Post Error: 1974 - Drive Array -Array Controller Battery Charge Low

Post Error: 1972 - Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

Error: 1787: Drive Array Operating in Interim Recovery Mode

Kind regards

Mark

Re: Drive Array -Array Conbtroller Battery Charge Low

Post Error: 1974 - Drive Array -Array Controller Battery Charge Low

==> please chekc if latest firmware is on the controller

Post Error: 1972 - Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

==> seems that the server crashes and now write back the data information which are in the write cache from your Smart Array Controller

Error: 1787: Drive Array Operating in Interim Recovery Mode

==> Raid is rebuilding

if u're using Smart Array 6i/64x(x) please be sure to update the firmware at least to 2.48 this will fix the bug, that the batteries doesn't load correctly ;)

Cheers

Thanks.

Do you know where I can get this update, can't find it in the firmware driver section?

Kind regards

Mark,

You can find the F/W updates here:

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/locOsCat/69_55.html

Look for your specific controller: 6i, 641/2, 6400 etc.
I would choose the online version, nice and easy.

Re: Drive Array -Array Conbtroller Battery Charge Low

I saw this problem if you forget a USB device connected to the usb port such as a thumb drive. Remove the usb drive and all was ok when you rebooted. With USB drive, it would fail to boot and hang after it gave the battery failed to charge/charge low message.

Hi,
Download the storage devices update from the following link :
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/index.html

There are three tabs :
1. Product : Smart Array Controller
2. Model :
3. Operating System :

Bookmark the link as you will also found the latest HDD firmwares through it.

hope that will help
