Drive Expansion 2500

I have a Compaq Proliant 2500 with wide ultra hot swap drives. It has an external scsi port and was wondering about getting a storage expansion system for it. The one I was looking at is a PROLIANT STORAGE SYSTEM UE 4100, can anyone tell me if this unit would work for me or at least tell me what unit I should be looking for.

HI,
it sounds like that you didnt use a Array controller.
Then any F/W Storagebox should do the job.

If you use a original Compaq box you have the advantage of a build in SCSI Bridge to extend the possible cable length.
But Compaq isnt selling such boxes - discontinued.
Maybe as a spare part for a horrible price ...
