Drive Online Lights / Smart Array 431 Controller
We have two identical ML370 Servers both with RAID 5 via Compaq Smart Array 431 Controllers. On one of the servers the online lights on all the drives do not light up at all like the other one. Even after a SmartStart erase of all configurations on both servers, and a new array reinstall, the same server still will not light up the online lights on the drives. The -> activity light works normal. I've even tried re-seating the controller card and re-connecting the SCSI cable with no luck. Also put the drives in the other server and the online lights light up there. So I know it's not the OS, drives, or a connection problem. Any one else had a simular problem? Thanks...

Re: Drive Online Lights / Smart Array 431 Controller
I have this very same situation on 2 out of 5 new servers. They seem to run fine, but the lack of online light is disconcerting to say the least. Almost as disconcerting as the LACK of Compaq response to Will's message. What gives?
