Re: Drive array accelerator Battrey Failed
Hi ARehman
Do you have model description of Array accelerator installed in server? Else there is no issue, since array configuration is stored on disks as well. After replacing the batteries it can be restored back to array.
Regards
Mahesh

Re: Drive array accelerator Battrey Failed
If it is a Smartarray 6400, there is a firmware update which fixes a problem where the "battery failed" message shows up in error. I think the firmware version is 2.34, can be applied as an online update but IIRC you have to reboot the server after applying.

Re: Drive array accelerator Battrey Failed
Ahrehman, this is a know issue witch can be solved doing an firmware update.
Do an online Rompaq Upgrade on te storage controller:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/22234.html
This will fix the issue where the battery status may be falsely reported as ├в failed├в even though the cache module is ├в enabled.├в
Refer to Customer Advisory EX040528_CW01 for additional information
