Drive rebuild failure ML350 G5 Raid 5

I have been replaceing 72Gb drives (x5) on a Raid 5 array with 146Gb drives.

The first 4 rebuilt with no problems, the last drive gets to rebuild status 100% and hangs, when refreshed the status changes to "waiting for rebuild" I have tried 2 different drive both with the same result.

The ADU log (attached) states read error. Berfore I change the drive cage card has anyone any other suggestion or come across this before.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Rich,

You may want to try booting to a firmware maintenance CD first to ensure it is not the cause. If that fails I would pursue the same solution as you and replace the array controller.

Thanks for the post, I tried the CD bit no change. Rebuilt the arrays in the end.
