Drivers / Firmware for HPE 1.6TB PCIe x8 Lanes Mixed Use HHHL (877825-B21)
Hi All,
We recently purchased a DL380Gen10 CTO server and withthat we ordered a PCI SSD:
HPE 1.6TB PCIe x8 Lanes Mixed Use HHHL (877825-B21)
This is the first time we have this kind of hardware (PCI SSD NVME) from HPE. Last year we used Intel DCP3700 on ProLiant servers with success, but we decided to have genuine HPE products in this system. However we noticed that there little to no software support for this hardware. The 877825-B21 seems to be from Samsung Electronics (chipset).
Also when viewing the hardware in HPE Storage Administrator gives no SSD Wear Status (not supported).
We also have a HPE 800GB NVMe x4 Lanes Mixed Use SFF (2.5in) SCN (875595-B21) in antoher system, and also there is no software/drivers available.
note: we installated the ServicePack from October 2017.
Is there anyone who has the same experience or even better: available drivers and firmwares?

Re: Drivers / Firmware for HPE 1.6TB PCIe x8 Lanes Mixed Use HHHL (877825-B21)
Hello,
HPE Solid State Drives (SSDs) are equipped with tools that can report the amount of lifetime remaining with HPE SMARTSSD Wear Gauge.
However for NVMe drives, HPE SMARTSSD Wear Gauge is not supported.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Storage Agents for both Microsoft┬о Windows┬о and Linux provide status and condition updates through traps, OS event logs and the HPE System Management Homepage...
The drivers for these Cards are usually, INBOX Drivers....
Inbox NVMe Drivers
Inbox NVMe drivers for the operating systems listed below have been tested on HPE NVMe SSDs and Add-in Cards. Check the specifications for the HPE server of interest to determine if it supports one of these Operating Systems.

Re: Drivers / Firmware for HPE 1.6TB PCIe x8 Lanes Mixed Use HHHL (877825-B21)
Hi Prabu,
Thank u for your reply.
Next question regarding this issue: How about the 1,6TB NVME Drives (877994-B21) which are Intel DC P4600 types. Should I download the newest firmwares and drivers from the intel.com website? Or isn't this supported?
Thanks!
