Dual CPU and Core Count

Hello,

Is it possible to have a pair of CPUs in a DL360 G10 but have a different number of cores enabled in the BIOS for each CPU.

I.e

CPU1 - 18 Cores with all cores enabled in BIOS

CPU2 - 18 cores with only 6 cores enabled in BIOS

I know this may seem like an odd thing to ask but we'd like a level of ganular control for SQL licensing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Dual CPU and Core Count

Most likely the count of installed processors and cores is important for licening, disable cores is likely not valid.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
