Server:ML350G4p
2x DualCore 3.20 Ghz


RBSU-Option:
Power Regulator: disabled / (option low provides 2.80GHz / option high is not avaible)

latest FW is installed.

Post + HPDiags showsn 3.00Ghz
Option/SpareNr. + Device Manager shows 3.20 Ghz

any ideas!?

thx4reply, but the article doesn't fit to our issue. Power Rgulator Option allready disabled but the issue exist furthermore.
when enabling "HP Static Low Power Mode" the POST shows 2.80Ghz CPU frequenzi ( see my first posting )

any ideas?

how the number will chage if HP Dynamic Power Savings used ? POST, Diag, SMH

please see the first posting either is shown 3.00Ghz or 2.80 Ghz

Hi,

My first reaction is that the BIOS cannot match the id of the chip to its known table. Device Manager in Windows actually queires the chip directly instead of using the BIOS tables.

Have you run the latest firmware update CD? This usually updates the microcodes and then it will find a match.

Last thing to do is to write down the prodcut number and model of the chip and check the processor compatiblity list for that machine. It could be newer than what the machine can see.

Was this an upgrade from a previous processor?
