Dual Processor shows as four in Task Manager

Dual Processor shows as four in Task Manager

I have Proliant DL380 and am running Windows 2003. The server has two xeon 2.4 cpu's. The Task Manager shows four graphs for the CPU's.
The Device Manager -> processor also shows four CPUs. Is it multiprocessor HAL issue ?

Hi Ray

Check with your Vendor if the processors are Hyper Threading Enabled. Most probably they are and thats the reason it shows like this.
