Re: Dual cpu in Proliant 800
Firstly, please note that Compaq server products only support "server" OS, therefore, XP Pro is not a supported OS.
You can take a look at the following MS KB on how to add multi processor
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;234558
Please note that there are also additional issues on multiprocessor with Compaq server which may (or may not) be affecting your system:
*Windows 2000 Setup Detects Only One CPU on Some Compaq Servers
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;252326
*Windows Server 2003 May Not Use Multiple Processors with Some Pentium Pro or Pentium II Processors
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319091
Hope this helps.
