Dual-home Server
I just finished configuring a Proliant ML370 server using the Smart Start CD and put SP 6a on the server. I need to dual-home the server on ethernet and token ring. I currently have the integrated ethernet card activated. When I install the token ring card (ISM 16/4 Token-Ring PIC Adapter 2), the server locks up at NTDETECT. It just sits indefinitely at the NTDETECT screen. I have tried to install the card in different PCI slots to no avail. I have taken a card from a working computer to see it was a bad NIC. No luck there. I have used Compaq diagnostic and it detects and adds the card to its config correctly. Is there a setting change I need to make for server and/or card? I have been able to dual-home the Proliant 1600 server before they retired the model. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Re: Dual-home Server
What token ring card is this? Do you mean an "IBM 16/4 Adapter 2" (that was ISA based, not PCI)?
