During reboot, system automatically power cycles

I have a Proliant DL380 running Debian. It has worked in the past but was shipped overseas. During a recent power on boot, it reached the hardware inspection phase (scsi controller) and just immediately power cycled. This behavior repeated itself three times before it came up correctly. I haven't seen this happen on other servers running the exact same software/os. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: During reboot, system automatically power cycles

This could be a process called crowbarring...it happens due to a flaky or defective power supply (something that can easily happen when transported such as you have described) I would suggest A) run diags..and B) perhaps call into compaq for warranty replacement of the power supply if your system is still under warranty (which they can verify with your serial number)
