E200i RAID10 configuration and verification

I'm running an ML350 G5 with an E200i controller and 4 SAS drives in a RAID10 configuration. The E200i has BBWC, and as I recall is configured with write-back cache.

I recently ran a disk performance test which indicated that I was getting about half the performance with writes that I was getting with reads, and with RAID10 I would expect them both to be about equal.

I'm looking for documentation on two things: recommended configuration, and verification tests of some sort, so I can confirm whether my disk subsystem is configured and performing properly. Where/how can I obtain these?
