Re: E200i on ML350 G5 - Failed to initialize after firmware update.. Now its dead!
First I would disconnect the disk cables and give it a try.
Controller listed during POST?
Disconnect the cache module?
Listed during POST (error message is expected here).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: E200i on ML350 G5 - Failed to initialize after firmware update.. Now its dead!
Hi.
I have disconnected everything, tried without battery, With another cache module, reset bios, reset everything I can think of. Also tried the SmartStart and the HP SUM, they don't detect the controller.
It shows during post when its trying to initialize, but fails to do so. It takes at least 5 minutes to fail and get past initializing.
I have changed to a P400 Controller and got the server running again (RAID5 intact!!!), tho it takes ages for the E200i to get past initializing. But I want to get the E200i fixed or disabled.
I do not have the disable option in bios. Any tips, or is it jus bricked..?
