Re: EFI based utility for ML570

ok, I finally understood. We opened the server, and the controller (6400) has two cables connected to the scsi A1 and A2 , so we only have two scsi left (B1 and B2) and we need 3.
Thanks a lot for the help to my case.

Re: EFI based utility for ML570

That's the reason.

Why you need 3 connections?

Anyway, consider to read and follow this:

Hope this helps!

Re: EFI based utility for ML570

The friendly names are MSA30 single-bus and MSA30 dual-bus.

I would consider to change the dual-bus module into a SB module.

This can solve your problem.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: EFI based utility for ML570

is it possible to change only the Module? Is not connected half and half of HDD's to each scsi? because when we connect only one scsi of the dual to the server only half of the HDD's lights turn on.

Re: EFI based utility for ML570

There are 3 MSA30 models - SB, DB and MI (multi initiator for use with hp-ux) - the only difference is the I/O module.

With SB you have all 14 disks on 1 bus, with MI and DB you have a left and a right half - 7 disks on each bus.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: EFI based utility for ML570

We tested the single module in the dual storage an it works.
