Re: EFS - Floppy Mount

When you run custom and select the following menu items: Software -> Install New -> From machine_name -> Media Device can you see a dropdown list of devices? You can copy the floppy image onto your machine and select "Media Images" as the device.

For disk 1 use:
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/VOL.000.000
For disk 2 use:
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/VOL.001.000
For disk 3 use:
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/tmp/VOL.002.000
...and so on.

Be sure to copy all the EFS disks to /tmp before running custom.
When you select "Media Images" as the device, enter /tmp as the Image Directory when prompted.

Re: EFS - Floppy Mount

Actually, you can install EFS from the Smart Start Cd.
mount -r -f HS,lower /dev/cd0 /mnt
look for SCO folder under CPQSUPSW/SCOEFS/5X/ENGLISH
Then copy the files UES540US._01 up to UES540US._03 to a temp folder and rename them to VOL.000.000-VOL.002.000
Then use the Software manager by running custom command and point to choose Media Images where your VOL files .. then reboot ..you should have your EFS and your floppy back ..
