ESX server on Proliant DL740
Hi. Anyone running VMware ESX 2.1 on a Proliant DL740? I am having some problems getting ESX to properly configure and use PCI network cards in this server. Also, the storage configuration shows strange things. It was working fine for a while, then it went all screwy and now I am having trouble putting it back together. I have tried the original BIOS and 9/15/2004 without much difference. I have my system OS selection set to "Windows 2000" because if I use "Linux" I get some kind of APIC mode error that prevents booting - what is this setting supposed to do anyway?
