ESXi 4.0 Installs hang on DL360 G6

Quite often when we are loading a DL360 G6 server with the HP ESXi 4.0 installable CD it will get hung during the ESXi installation process. The only solution is to blow away the P400i RAID configuration, re-create the RAID set, then re-install. So the hang appears to be storage related.

This problem happens on a variety of DL360 G6 servers, and using the latest firmware doesn't seem to help.

The server is configured for four to eight 300GB SAS drives, of which two are configured as a RAID-1 set for ESXi.

Are you using the HP version of the installation media?
I recently installed a DL360G6 without any problems. First I upgraded the server firmwares with the latest fimware cdrom and then I installed ESXi 4.0 with the HP installation media.
I used both SAS and SATA disks.
