Re: EXPANDING HARD SPACE

You can either expand the array with larger capacity drives or add external storage to the system. Expanding the array with larger capacity drives is not a trivial process. It requires replacing each drive in the array with a new drive and letting the array rebuild after every drive exchange. Once that process is complete you can then expand the array to use the new free space. Once array expansion is complete you then need to use OS tools to expand the OS partition or create a new partiton utilizing the new space.  In this case since the OS boot drive is a seperate array, I would backup the VM's, power off the system, removel all the 300GB drives, replace with larger drives, create a new array and restore the VM's.

Re: EXPANDING HARD SPACE

Thank you very much for your answer.

I did check the specification of my server and find out that with one extender card, I can add another HDD to my server and after that I will move my data to an external hard and build a new raid with previous HDDs and new one.

again thank you so much for your answer.
