Re: Embedded Sata raid and B110i SATA RAID Controller
Unlike the other controllers in the Smart Array family it is not a true hardware RAID controller.
In some cases your better off using the software raid built into the OS as then your not tied to a binary driver.
By default the RAID function is disabled on the B110. It can be enabled or disabled in an RBSU setting
An advantage of using the B110 in RIAD mode over OS software RAID is the data on the disks can be preserved if you upgrade to one of the hardware based Smart Array controllers.

Re: Embedded Sata raid and B110i SATA RAID Controller
Also some file systems (ZFS anyone?) likes direct access to the disks instead of through an array.

Re: Embedded Sata raid and B110i SATA RAID Controller
now I've selected this server: DL180 G6 with P410i raid controller.
I would much space, about 2TD.
What are the disks supported?
For exable this: 507632-B21 (2TD hp sata hot plug) in raid 1+0.
With P410i can I use sata/sas disks?
Thanks in advance.

You can use both SAS and SATA drives.
The 507632-B21 is in there so that will work.
