Empty HP system management home page on BL460G7 + RHEL 5.5 + PSP 8.60

Hi,

I just installed a couple of BL460G7 with
redhat linux 5.5 for x86-64. I installed the proliant support pack PSP 8.60 and configured trap for HP SIM. I saw that the HP System management home page is empty (there no data about the status of devices, like ILO, controller, etc...) and so HP SIM is not able to identify the hardware.

Suggestions? If there are FAQ about troubleshooting for the PSP they are welcome.

Many thanks,
best regards,

If everything is properly installed then the first thing you should do is run the config script (seems like you already did) hpsnmpconfig start by setting a simple config with only one read/write community name, leave the rest blank. If it works then you can add your SIM management station settings and test again.

In the other hand, if you're missing something installed or running I would check the following rpms are installed:

hp-health
hp-snmp-agents
hp-smh-templates
net-snmp

then make sure the following are running:

service hp-snmp-agents status
service snmpd status

Lastly a common mistake is to install the 32bit packages into a 64bit system.

Check all above and let us know how it goes.

Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions, I did not run hpsnmpconfig tool (with older version of PSP it was not necessary).

Thank you again for your help!
Best regards.
