Encryption Password on boot
Hello
We recently rebooted our ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server and were expecting to be prompted for the encryption password on boot, however this didn't occur. It booted without asking for the password, but we have encryption enabled, it even states that in the ILO.
We used HPE Smart Array to encrypt the drives and set up RAID 5.
Is this to be expected or is this a misconfiguration?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Encryption Password on boot
Hi,
Please note "Secure Encryption is only available for P-series Smart Array controllers and requires the purchase of an additional Encryption SKU."
If the controller password is suspended, then the controller does not prompt for a password at system startup.
Refer to "Resuming the controller password" on page#42 from this document.
Thank You!
