End of service life - policy for HP Gen7 servers - what does it mean
Hi everyone,
i am searching for the "end of (service) life" policy that includes Proliant server from HP.
I don't care about the hardware maintainence (as long we can buy a carepaq) but i care about the security updates. What happens with BIOS etc after the EOSL? Are there any security updates released or is it just not sure if this BIOS is affected by the security flaw?
Btw HPE. If this document is something named with HPE end of life policy then please fix your search. I do not use the HPE search at all because it newer finds the things i am searching for. I use google and site:hpe.com for this
Best regards
Stephan

Wow ok. Did not know that it is such a secret
It is in the interest of HPE as i would recommend buy new servers instead of keeping the old ones.
I'm pretty sure that Gen7 servers do not get any BIOS or software updates anymore - but i need the policy for the management

These security updates totally depend on the processor manufacturer.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
