Err.1720 and where is F/W to upgrade HDD BB00921B91 from 3B05?

1. While booting the server I got the message from the self-monitoring:
"1720-S.M.A.R.T. Hard Drive Detects Imminent Failure?? ...then... "Press F1 to continue or F10....."
and the same entry can be viewed via CIM Log Viewer after NT Server has started:
?Post Error: 1720 ? S.M.A.R.T. Hard Drive detects Imminent Failure.
Severity: Caution?
2. And every time after NT Server has started I can read the message from SCSI Insight Storage Agent via System Event Viewer (Event 1070):
Physical Disk Status Change Slot: 0
Port: 2
Drive: 0
Value: 8 !
Treshold: 2
My drives are still within warranty and I can call Compaq for pre-failure replacement. But I?ve just decided to renew the firmware of the drive before calling Compaq for replacement. May be it will be enough?
The problem is that I can?t find the latest Compaq Firmware for my old drive:
BB00921B91 Ver. 3B05
The only F/W I?ve found is ?Options ROMPaq for Internal (SCSI Attached) Drives Ver.3.01A (18 Oct 01)?.
This paq (SP17867) ?Upgrades the following Compaq drive models:
????????..
, BB00921B91, ?????.
???..F/W from 3BS7 to 3BS8?.
It means that 3BS8 is the latest F/W ROM Image for this drive.

Could anybody answer if it is possible to upgrade from 3B05 to 3BS8 with this Options ROMPaq or help me to find another ROMPaq?

First I have removed the tape drive from the same controller. Then I have updated the firmware of the hard drive to the latest 3BS8 (from 3B05). Then I have changed SCSI ID of the hard drive. Then I have changed the position of the drive in the SCSI cable. And the error continues! The only way is to replace this hard drive.
