Erroe in evenlog
Hello evrybody,
We have ML350 G3, Windows 2000 Server
I saw error in evenlog
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 11
Date: 6/20/2005
Time: 7:33:21 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.
What is this and how could I resolve the proble

Hi BD,
There could several sources behind this problem, start checking one by one,
1. check the SCSI LVD cable connected from the RAID/ SCSI card to the HDD cage backplane. check the contacts on both end of cable and on cage & card also.if you suspect, try to replace it.
2. RAID / SCSI card may have some problem.
3. it might be due to very heavy I/O operations.
4. an incompatible device (specially a tape drive) is added to SCSI bus.
5. HDD cage backplane.
6. one or more of the hard disks
7. the server mainboard itself.
so, try to check the server for any of the causes stated above. if you have installed a new device, try to remove it & then check it.
