Error message on Events
On both nodes on the event log we get a message " The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\Cpq32fs21 ". The
cl380 system is configured as Available - Avaliable. We have installed Win2000 Advanced Server and Service pack 2. Also
we have downloded the latest Support Paq from Compaq and installed it too. Can anybody help ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Error message on Events
This is a message that can be generated during node bootup since both nodes are sharing the same SCSI bus. If this message appears in the event log once or twice during node bootup or after a SCSI bus reset, then you can ignore this message. If you see this message repeated continuously in event log then there may be an issue with the SCSI HBA in slot 2.

Re: Error message on Events
Is this cluster functioning??? Does the 2nd node take a long it to boot. That scsi error could be cause by the the scsi ids not being set. Each node has a 64 bit scsi controller in a pci slot. The scsi id is 7 by default. When setting up the server, the scsi id on port one of the 64 scsi controller on one of the nodes has to be set to id 6.
