Errors after HP engineer replaced faulty DAT72 drive

Hi
our server is running sco unix, and the HP monitoring is logging these errors every 30secs since we powered up the server ;

WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0
WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0
WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0
WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0
WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0
WARNING: hpasmxl: Sensor 9 invalid status state: 0x0

Prior to this the tape drive was playing up, HP engineer opened the case and replaced with new. He also examined the power supply unit and reseated.

Can anyone advise what this error is ?

I don;t want to shutdown the server , to find we cannot boot up again because of this error.

The server is a Proliant ML370

Re: Errors after HP engineer replaced faulty DAT72 drive

Those errors look like Linux syslog errors. Anything else in the syslog? Is the server operational?

You may want to follow general troubleshootings procedures. See the service/maint guide
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00300504/c00300504.pdf

Also you may want to open the server and look around inside the server for any misplaced flaps, press firmly on all connections or reseat some components.
Nothing specific about sensor 9 maybe an HP insider can chime in.
