Event ID 24683 (SCSI bus fault) on ProLiant DL580 G3

Hi,
My system:
ProLiant DL580 G3
Smart Array 6404/256 FW: 2.26B
Storage Works MSA 30

OS: MS Windows 2003 SP1
HP ProLiant Support Pack 7.30A

I got the error in the Windows System log:

Description:
SCSI bus fault occurred on Storage Box box 0, , Port 0 of
Array Controller in slot 3.
This may result in a "downshift" in transfer rate for one or more hard drives on the bus.

I suspect this could be caused by the HP systems insight agent, as the error was logged around the same time I checked the server's configuration using the agent. Do you have any authoritative descriptions of this error or how it can be solved?

Start with upgrading your SmartArray 6404 firmware to last version:

It is good idea to upgrade to last PSP as well.
