Event ID 296

Hello Folks,
Any help in taking care of Event ID 296. It's with our DL380G3 - source: niv agent, "Compaq NIC management agent error: a driver for a nic failed to open"

Hello,
This error can be caused due to an improperly installed adapter. Removal and reinstallation of the adapter may correct the problem. The NIC agent service will not respond to any management requests."

Hello,
If the above resolution does not fix the event ID 296 then do the following:

Remove the loopback adapter in device manager. If loopback adapter must remain, then inactivate NIC information Agent in Compaq Management Agents to prevent the error.
