Event ID 4146

When i checked the system log this morning these events came to my attention:

EventID: 0x84351032 (4146) - Duplicate Temperature IDs: Two Temperature Sensors

and

EventID: 0x84351032 (4146) - Parsing of SHAFT incomplete. Remaining SHAFT

The source in both cases was CPQASM. Server type is Proliant ML570.

Anyone seen these events and know what they mean? thanks.

You might try upgrading the ROM on your system to the latest version (even if it's the same version you have now, reflash it with the same ROM). How often do you (or Vell) see this error, and with which machines?

Hey Kelcey:

I see those errors atleast 4-5 times a day in my logs and the machines are compaqs Proliant ML570 machines.
Any more Suggestions??

Sorry, flashing the ROM is the only thing I can think of. Have you tried that yet? Also, I'm assuming that's not a ML570 G2?

These should be the downloads for upgrading the ROM on the ML570. I'm fairly confident that this will solve the problem:

These should both upgrade your ROM to a 12/17/2002 date.
