SolutionThis is usually caused by the bad/damaged cables. If that's the case then you need to replace the cables and the P/Ns are as follows:
library Internal cable - 124839-001 and External - 202920-001
The internal cable is the cable that connects the external connectors to the main board and the external cable is the cable that jumpers the robotics to Drive 1.

Re: Event ID 5 with TL891DLX
You may also want to update the Support paq as well if that's not done already. The support paq can be downloaded from:

Re: Event ID 5 with TL891DLX
We have a similar problem as Ron.
We have a TL891 attached to a Proliant 1600 server. We are using Veritas Backupexec 8.5 with W2k Std. It's giving us the following message in the event log:
Event ID5 A parity error was deltected on \device\scsi\cpq32fs2.
The TL891 attached to the server on the local SE SCSI port, and the interface of the TL891 is using DIFF SCSI port. So that we are using a SCSI Converter between both cables.
Base on the previous solution, I had tried replaced both SCSI cables but the Event ID 5 still comes out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
