Event ID 9 Errors on Compaq 8000 running NT4
I am getting numerous Event ID 9 errors a day in the system event log.
The source is cpqarry2 and the description is:
"The device, \Device|ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout period."
Certain server specific functions (i.e. sql backups, system backups, etc.) are taking a longer period of time now. Any idea what these messages indicate.

Re: Event ID 9 Errors on Compaq 8000 running NT4
If it was working better and now works worse then it means something got changed: within software (you upgraded something - installed drivers for example), or hardware (something is failed or in pre-failure state). You need to check storage device hardware logs (if there're any) and recall what was done on the software recently
