Event Notifier configuration deleted

I have problem with Event Notifier when upgrading firmware and drivers with hpsum all settings in event notifier (email addresses, SMTP server,...) are deleted. How to prevent that?

Hi Brojan,

when you install insight management agents which is part of your Proliant support pack and also comes seperately
The following services are installed:
Insight Foundation Agents
Insight NIC Agents
Insight Storage Agents
Insight Server Agents
Web Agent
Event Notifier

So, probably your event notifier also got upgraded and you have lost all the settings.

Hi Aftab,

If I understand this correct every time Event Notifier service is updated all settings are deleted. If I want to keep old settings I have to export registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\CIMnotify\Parameters and then after update import it back?

Yes... that's correct... there isn't any configuration file for event notifier..or may be I am not aware.

So, register import seems to be only way to retain the configuration
