Event Viewer Error
Keep on receiving this error in event viewer "Component: Compaq NC Agent Error: Unable to open the registry sub key "CPQNIC\Ether net\Statistics". Cause: This error can be caused by a corrupt registry or a low memory condition. Re booting the server may correct this error." Any idea how to fix it. Re booting obviously does not help.
Thanks

Re: Event Viewer Error
Try this.
Resolution: Uninstall agents (may have to use Cleanup Utility), remove SNMP, re-install SNMP, re-apply NT Service Pack, do not reboot, reapply latest SSD, reboot, reinstall agents.
OR
Alternate: Stop SNMP related services, use Management CD Custom Install to uninstall only the NIC agent, reboot, stop services once more, use Management CD Custom Install to install NIC agent, reboot. This will recreate the Registry key.
