Expand Array on P410i using HP Smart Storage Administrator

I am trying to "Expand Array" on a ML350 / P410i.

Using the HP Smart Storage Administrator,

I dont see the option to "Expand Array".

Does the HP Smart Storage Administrator require a license now to perform this function?

The Array is a RAID 5 with (3) SAS 300gb drives.

The new Unassigned Drive is visable in the HP Smart Storage Administrator.

The new Unassigned Drive is identical to the (3) SAS drives.

I downloaded the latest HP Smart Storage Administrator.

I updated to the latest P410i Firmware.

I cannot boot to a SmartStart CD as the server cannot go offline.

I must be able to use the HP Smart Storage Administrator to Expand the Array.

Does the P410i have BBWC?

P410i requires BBWC for the following:

Online array expansion (with BBWC upgrade)
Online Advanced Capacity Expansion (with BBWC and Smart Array Advanced Pack upgrade)
Online logical drive extension (with BBWC upgrade)
Online RAID level migration (with BBWC upgrade)
Online strip size migration (with BBWC upgrade)
Offline Mirror splitting and recombining (with BBWC and Smart Array Advanced Pack upgrade)


Expanding an array
You can increase the storage space on an array by adding physical drives. Any drive that you want to add must meet the following criteria:
• It must be an unassigned drive.
• It must be of the same type as existing drives in the array (for example, SATA or SAS).
• It must have a capacity no less than that of the smallest drive in the array.

And in case there is no BBWC available?

I want to replace my RAID 1+0 (4 x 146 GB) with (4 x 300 GB).

Backup data, delete array, and create new array? Or is there a better option?

And what about the BBWC upgrade? Does this require a re-creation of the array?

PS. I have a HP Smart Array P410i (256 MB Version)

Is there a way to do this using SSA? HP support said there was but I don't see the expand array option after replacing 4 - 300GB drive in a RAID 10 array with 4 - 600GB drives.

Please see below info.

RAID 5, 5+0 (Distributed Data Guarding)
NOTE: A minimum or 256 MB cache and battery are required to enable RAID 5, 5+0 support of the Smart Array P410i
