Ciao to all.
I have a ML350 G6 with P410 and 256Mb cache.
I have 3 disk 146GB in RAID5 and now i want add 2 disk.
The OS is Linux with partition based for harddisk partition.
I must clear array, re create it and format it and reinstall all OS?
Thanks for all.

Solution
Does the P410 have a battery backup? The 256MB model for the P410 does not come with a battery, the battery can be added as option 462969-B21.

Without the battery backup you can not do any online array expansion as described in the other thread where you asked this question.

You should strongly consider getting a battery backup. Not only youit will enable you to add the 2 disks to the raid5 live and online, you will be able to setup some of the cahce memory as write cache and notice a tremendous increase in performance.

Re: Expand P410 raid5 array
Do you also have ACU installed? What Linux OS do you have on the server?
ACU is officially supported on redhat by HP but people have installed it on other Linux flavors.
