Expanding Hard Drive Capacity in Proliant ML370

We are using win2k advanced server and running 2 mirrored arrays, one of the drives in our C: array failed, and we are looking to replace them with larger drives. I thought to just replace the failed drive with the larger one, and then replace the smaller drive with the other and then expand the partitions, however it is not possible to expand a system partition, so i'd have a lot of wasted capacity. Any suggestions?

Hello Joe,

You can always create another logical drive with the extra space. That way you would be able to use the extra space.
Please make sure that you have back up of your data and all the bios and firmware is uptodate.

I was hoping to avoid creating another drive. Since it was the C: I wanted to keep it that way so all the applications are on one main disk.

Hello Joe,
In the past I have come across some folks who were able to change to bigger capacity HDDs by using third party utilities. If I come across some I shall post it for you.
