Extend a 4 disk RAID 1+0 array on ML350p gen8/P420i with 2 disks
Is it possible to extend an RAID 1+0 array of a ML350P gen8 with a P420i with 2 disks?
The array now consists of 4 disks.

Re: Extend a 4 disk RAID 1+0 array on ML350p gen8/P420i with 2 disks
Do you have LFF or SFF drives? The controller supports a maximum of eigth drives conencted (without expander). SFF drive cage can handle 8 drives, LFF cage a maximum of 6 drives. In any case you can of course add 2 drives to a 4-drive configuration.
To expand the raid array you need a cache module with battery backup
