"ctrl slot=1 array A ld 1 add drives=allunassigned"
butt its gives error below
Error: This operation is not supported with the current configuration. Use the "show" command on devices to show additional details about the configuration."

Re: Extend the Logical Drive in P-400

As I said in the other posting http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1452504 your P400 does not have the BBWC option. Without the BBWC option you can not extent the logical drive.

Why don't you do what the error message suggests? "...Use the "show" command on devices to show additional details...". It will show you the details of the controller.

Re: Extend the Logical Drive in P-400

You probably have the P400 with 256MB cache.

Look at the quickspecs, you have the option to buy the battery kit or buy the 512MB/BBWC kit.
If you have one of the servers listed you need to buy the 24" battery cable as well.
