External health LED

Hi,

(DL585)
A server is sending errors that PSU 2 is no longer working. I have taken a look at the server & the LED lights on the PSU's are all green without any issues.

The external health light does flash occasionally red. In the server guige this indicates that it is a critical power failure. Does this mean that its not the PSU but the actual power cable?

If so then wouldnt the power suppy led be amber?

Any info much appreciated.

how are you receiving the errors for the PSU #2? windows event log messages? hp integrated management log?

have you tried basic troubleshooting?
- reseating power supplies
- try another power cables
- swap power supplies to check if error follows PSU on stays in the same bay
- update server with the latest system ROM
