Extremely loud DL140 G1 server fans

I have a client with a DL140 server. The unit is extremely loud and probably the loudest server I have ever heard. The client claims its unbarable to work in the same room with the server. The server has no other problems.

The fans seem to be running at very high speed. The room temp is 70 degrees. The top of the server is cold to the touch.

I have tried updating firmware and BIOS to the latest versions which had no effect.

Is there a setting somewhere to adjust fan speed? Could it be a temperature sensor somewhere?

Please help

Hi,

In you post you said 70 degrees.
Are you sure?

update all the chipset drivers on this server. If still problem presist something wrong with motherboard.

Confirm with following link for fan connections
