Failed drive in a stripe set... Need URGENT help.

I have a DL380 G4 that has two 36GB 15k U320 SCSI drives. The drives are setup in a stripe set. One of the drives is failing on me. Is there a way to get the data from the failing drive onto the new drive without having to reinstall Windows and everything?

Assuming the drive isn't dead-dead, you can add another drive and convert the array to RAID5. Then when the drive fails you'll be operating in degraded RAID5, which is terribly slow, but still safely functional.

Online spares, etc., don't work for plain stripes.

if you use striping without mirror (Raid10) you do not have any failbackoption.
you have one Option:
recovery from a successfully backup/image.

Has the drive failed already or is giving you an imminent failure.

Incase it has already failed and is in RAID 0 which appears to be the case then there would be no way to retrieve data.
Note: Using Third Party Backup Recovery help may be an option but is not provided by HP

Incase,it is an imminent failure,a Raid level Migration Or Backup/Restore would be the options to save data.
