Fan Failure After Rack Conversion

Hi, we just did a rack mount conversion on a proliant 5500 and now it comes up with all 4 fans failing on startup and then reboots, i've reseated the board which the fans plug into, also the memory board, unplugged and re-plugged all the fans, still no joy, any ideas?

Have you turned the maintanence switch #3. Thsi will tell it that it's in a rack position and not a tower position. Depending on the model it swhould be on the peripheral board. There should be a bank of 6 switches. Just switch number 3.
