Fan Noise

The charity that I volunteer at has received two HP Proland DL360 servers as a gift and these computers are in their office, not a data centre room,

The noise from these Data Servers are like a Get Airplane is sitting in their office.

The computer and fans have been cleaned.

Can these fans be changed for something quieter?

Thank you

Re: Fan Noise

Hi,

  1. What is the server generation..?
  2. What is the bios version in the server.?
  3. How many fans are installed and are they working well.?

If one on the fan has failed then the other fans spin at higher rate. If you have the similar server then try swapping the fans.
