Fan Noise

I am annoyed at the fan noise on this proliant 3000. I have 2 of them. The first supplied about 2 years ago is perfect. This one purchased about 8 months ago is much much noisier. It does have 2 supply fans (one on the earlier machine). The technician says it is OK. I can't believe that Compaq would make such a noisy machine for an office environment. It sounds like 2 fans are working against each other. Any advice?
