Fedora Core 6 (LINUX) on DL380 G4
Hello,
I tried to install Fedora Core 6 on a DL380.
At the end of the installation I was asked to remove the last CD and to restart the system.
Yet, after the reboot, the machine seemed not to come up again. The screen was completely black with neither error messages nor anything ...
I was told maybe it is a compatibility problem between Fedora Core 6 and DL380 BIOS or formware in general.
Is it really so? How can I solve this?
Is there a special Fedora suited for DL380?
Thank you in advance,
Stefano.

Re: Fedora Core 6 (LINUX) on DL380 G4
Fedora Core 6 is not on the official 'supported and tested' list, but you should not have a problem with a DL380G4. I run it myself without anything special...

Re: Fedora Core 6 (LINUX) on DL380 G4
I magically happened to stop DL380 and go home.
The day after everything started just like by a miracle...
I'm not going to put myself (and you) other questions, I'm just glad it works now.
Thanks anyway for the reply.
Stefano.
