Fiber Host Bus Adapter

I recently installed a HBA in my Proliant 1600r server the utilization on the server went from 3% - 5 % to 65% the only thing different is the HBA and connection to my SAN. I have upgraded to the most recent Drivers and system ROM packs. Any ideas?

Downloaded the steam.nlm from compaq dated 7-19-2000 it is in the Storageworks support section.
