Firmware Update Hard Disks Proliant DL 360 G5

Firmware Update Hard Disks Proliant DL 360 G5 is not possible.

Executing the HP exe-Files e.g. cp013563.exe

gives the following message

The software will not be installed on this system because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't apply to this system.
 
There were no devices found that could be loaded with the ROM Image.

Press 'Close' to exit Setup.

The Hardware is present and I took the right HP Files

Who can help ?

Can you please provide the modell number of the hdd with the current firmware version and the FW version of the smart array controller?

The HP file your refering to is for the following productID's: DG072ABAB3, DG072BB975, DG146ABAB4, and DG146BB976.

Are your Harddrives of one of thoose ProductID's?

you can try downloading the new HP SPP http://www.hp.com/go/spp and see if it detects any new firmware for the drives..

The current FW HPD7 is too old (from 2007).   Try  to update the FW "step by step". You can find the older versions under revison history.

hi,

the step by step update was tried first when I had this problem. It is not possible to make an update also with the next firmware of HDP7.

I forgot to mention:

I have no problem with my Servers running the Windows Server 2003R2. The update on this servers is working.

The problems appear only on my Servers running with the Windows Servers 2008R2 operating system.
