Firmware Update cp005864 fails on DL360 G4p

The NIC firmware update cp005864.exe fails to install correctly on the DL360 G4p (i've tried three different machines). I get the following error:

ERROR: Upgrade of HP NC7782 Gigabit Server Adapter MAC: failed with internal error 9177028

I've uploaded the log file for further informaiton.

Did you had any luck with other servers ?
Swap HDD set around and proceed once again, see if it related to Hardware or conflicting application and OS

That was the latest driver link, not the firmware. cp005864 is the latest firmware for 32-bit O/S. If you are running Windows Server 2003 X64 then use the following firmware kit for the NC7782.

This firmware upgrade does have prerequisite drivers updates required as noted at http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/networking/us/download/23477.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN. Are your drivers current?

Thanks for the feedback...

1). This works fine on other ProLiants 380 G2/G3/G4, 360 G2/G3/G4 - only the G4p seems to have an issue.

2). We're using the drivers from PSP 7.40.

3). No software (other than PSP) installed.

4). We're using 32 bit version of W2K3.
