Last versions (7.30/7.20) of the Firmware Maintenance CD are given compatible with the Proliant 7000, but starting them on my server gives nothing to update even if I know the BIOS isn't up to date at all!
Many thanks for your help

Solutionyou could try here:

Get either the Online ROM Update (for Windows) or download the ROMpaq diskette to update the BIOS. I would recommend the ROMpaq disk. I don't think there is a component on the Firmware Update CD for updating the BIOS on really old Proliants. It might work for array controllers or Remote Insight Boards, but not for the system ROM.
Regards,
Stephen

So, your winning from Firmware Maintenance CD is only that you don't need to download these files from HP site.
As Stephen write you can update BIOS from Windows or by booting from ROMpaq disk.
But maybe you can use Firmware Maintenance CD to update SmartArray and SCSI disks firmware on your Proliant 7000 (depends on SA and disks models)
